Meeting with outstanding officers and soldiers participating in the resistance war against America

On the morning of April 28, at the People's Committee of Suoi Hoa Ward, the Veterans Association of Bac Ninh City held a meeting with outstanding officers and soldiers who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country and the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the glorious journey of the resistance war against the US to save the country and the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign . As a land of talented people, rich in revolutionary traditions, the army and people of Bac Ninh city (at that time Bac Ninh town) joined hands and contributed with the whole country, devoting human and material resources to the front line. Tens of thousands of children of Bac Ninh city enthusiastically wrote applications to volunteer to go to the front line with the goal of "Splitting Truong Son to save the country". In the 10 years from 1965 to 1975, Bac Ninh town sent off nearly 2,000 people to join the regular army, more than 200 people to join the youth volunteer force, the town had 473 people who sacrificed and were recognized as martyrs; 353 wounded and sick soldiers. The army and people of the town achieved many outstanding feats on the battlefields, contributing greatly to the whole country in liberating the South and reunifying the country.

The Organizing Committee presented gifts of gratitude to 30 outstanding soldiers.

On this occasion, the Provincial Veterans Association and the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh city presented gifts of gratitude to 30 outstanding soldiers who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country./.
