Meeting with the delegation of Thai Binh province visiting Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day

On the evening of April 23, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held a meeting with the delegation of Thai Binh province to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The meeting took place in a solemn atmosphere with the participation of Comrade Huynh Thanh Nhan, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, and leaders of a number of departments and branches of the city. On the side of Thai Binh province, the meeting was attended by Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the delegation, along with nearly 40 cadres, soldiers and those who directly participated in the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign.

On behalf of the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, comrade Huynh Thanh Nhan expressed his joy and deep gratitude when welcoming the delegation of Thai Binh , who directly participated in the Ho Chi Minh campaign, contributing to the historic victory of Spring 1975. He sent his gratitude to the veterans and previous generations of Thai Binh province, who sacrificed and contributed their all to the cause of liberating the South and unifying the country.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee, thanked the warm welcome of the City Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. He affirmed that the trip was not only an opportunity for former soldiers and cadres who participated in the Ho Chi Minh campaign to return to visit historical landmarks, but also a profound gratitude activity of the Party Committee, government and people of Thai Binh province to the outstanding children who contributed to the Great Spring Victory of 1975, a brilliant milestone in the history of the struggle for national liberation.

During the visit, on April 23, the delegation of Thai Binh province visited metro line No. 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien, and visited some other famous places in Ho Chi Minh City.

On April 24, the delegation will continue to visit red addresses in Ho Chi Minh City such as: Cu Chi tunnel historical site, Ben Duoc martyrs memorial temple...
