Scoring against Liverpool, Haaland breaks Man Utd legend's record

In the highlight match of round 13 of the Premier League between Man City and Liverpool on the evening of November 25 (Vietnam time), striker Erling Haaland broke the deadlock for the home team with a shot that hit the net of goalkeeper Alisson Becker in the 27th minute.

Notably, this was Erling Haaland's 50th goal after just 48 appearances for Man City, helping him break the record for the fastest 50 goals in the Premier League previously held by Man Utd legend Andy Cole.

However, it took Andy Cole 65 games to reach 50 goals, 17 more than the Norwegian striker to reach the memorable milestone.

Right behind Haaland and Andy Cole is English football legend Alan Shearer, who also needed 66 games to reach 50 goals. Next on the list are Ruud van Nistelrooy (68 games), Fernando Torres and Mohamed Salah (both 72 games).

Last season, Erling Haaland broke the record for most goals scored in a Premier League season, scoring 36 goals in 38 games in his first season with Man City.

It was the Norwegian striker who made a major contribution to helping Man City win the "historic treble" (including the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League titles).

This season, the 23-year-old striker has continued his impressive form, scoring 14 goals in 13 Premier League games for Man City. According to statistics, Erling Haaland has scored 232 goals in 282 games for his club and national team.

Unfortunately, despite opening the score for Man City in the first half, Erling Haaland and his teammates could not enjoy the joy of victory when Liverpool equalized in the second half thanks to defender Trent Alexander-Anorld and were forced to share points in round 13 of the Premier League.
