In the world market, spot silver price is trading at 32.71 USD/ounce, up 0.10% compared to yesterday's trading session.
The developments come as global financial markets are closely monitoring signals from the US Federal Reserve (FED). After a two-day meeting, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) decided to keep monetary policy unchanged as expected. However, the FOMC also warned of rising risks related to inflation and unemployment, as the US economy faces many uncertainties.
Analyst Jim Wyckoff from Kitco commented that the market is currently focusing on the upcoming press conference of FED Chairman Jerome Powell, with the expectation of more clear signals on policy direction in the coming time.
July silver futures bulls now hold the near-term advantage, aiming to push prices above resistance at $34.015 an ounce, while sellers aim to push prices below strong support at $31 an ounce, Wyckoff said.
