Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of April 2, 2025 |
Experts say that in the short and medium term, coffee prices may stagnate due to profit-taking pressure from speculators and abundant supply. However, in the long term, coffee prices will remain high.
According to statistics, in the past 5 weeks, Arabica coffee prices have fluctuated continuously in a cycle of one week increasing and one week decreasing. Meanwhile, Robusta coffee prices have been falling steadily, marking a prolonged decline since leaving the peak last month.
However, in recent sessions, the prices of both types of coffee have been in a “probing” state. The main reason is the forecast of rain in Brazil, helping to ease concerns about prolonged drought.
Robusta coffee supplies in Vietnam and Indonesia are currently quite limited. Vietnamese farmers are actively holding onto their stocks, not selling much in the hope that prices will rise further. In Indonesia, supplies are also scarce as it is the end of the harvest season.
Vietnam is currently the world’s only source of Robusta, but weather conditions in the two major producers, Vietnam and Brazil, will play a decisive role, especially as the potential La Niña weather phenomenon later this year could have a major impact on crops and prices, a trader said.
