Market analysis and forecast

Arabica prices are likely to fall further if rains in Brazil, as forecast, ease drought concerns. Low inventories will limit the decline, keeping prices high.

Robusta prices may stabilize thanks to supplies from Vietnam, where crop damage risks are reduced. Pessimistic sentiment in the futures market could still drag prices down in the short term.

In Brazil, a prolonged drought in Minas Gerais and other coffee-growing regions could impact the 2026-2027 crop, pushing up arabica prices if the weather does not improve.

Vietnam maintains stable robusta supply, but prices depend on global demand and upcoming weather fluctuations.

Uganda is seeing a sharp increase in production thanks to expanding planting areas, putting downward pressure on global robusta prices, especially if other countries increase production.

Low inventories support medium-term prices, especially for arabica, where limited supply could push prices up if demand picks up.

Weather fluctuations, such as inaccurate forecasts or sudden changes in Brazil and Vietnam, can cause strong price fluctuations.

Falling global demand due to economic recession or changes in consumer habits will put downward pressure on prices.

Farmer support policies in Uganda and other countries could increase supply, negatively affecting robusta prices.

Overall, coffee prices are under pressure from positive weather in Brazil and Vietnam, but low inventories and steady demand provide support. In the short term, prices are trading around current levels, with robusta more stable than arabica. In the long term, the Brazilian drought and Ugandan production will shape the trend. Investors and farmers should monitor weather forecasts and inventory data to make decisions.
