Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Tuan requested to speed up the disbursement of public investment capital.

On the morning of October 24, comrade Dinh Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, Head of Working Group No. 6 on disbursement of public investment capital in Lam Dong province, chaired a meeting with departments and branches to remove difficulties and obstacles and discuss solutions to speed up the disbursement progress of the 2025 capital plan.

Working Group No. 6 is responsible for and supervises 8 investment projects of Lam Dong province. In 2025, the total capital allocated for 8 projects is over 363 billion VND, to date 150 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching a rate of more than 41%.

According to the report, the project with the highest disbursement rate reached more than 66%, while the project to build the headquarters of Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio - Television Agency had the lowest disbursement rate, only reaching about 5%. Investors said that, in addition to weather factors, site clearance problems and construction permit adjustment procedures, the main reason for the slow progress was the limited capacity of some construction units.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Tuan emphasized that the disbursement rate of projects is still low, while there is not much time left in 2025. Relevant departments, branches and units should promote the spirit of acceleration and breakthrough "Overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain" according to the direction of the Government ; urgently deploy specific solutions, build disbursement scenarios by week and by month to strive to achieve the highest disbursement rate.

Comrade Dinh Van Tuan requested that departments and branches need to focus on speeding up disbursement progress.

Regarding the project to build the headquarters of Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio and Television, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Tuan said that the contractor is still weak in financial capacity, delayed in construction, affecting the overall progress. He requested the investor to review the entire implementation process; if the contractor does not meet the requirements, it is necessary to advise on handling according to regulations, including terminating the contract and selecting a replacement contractor, ensuring proper procedures and legal regulations.

Along with that, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the investor, the Project Management Board and related departments and branches such as the Department of Construction and the Department of Finance to strengthen close coordination; develop specific plans on transferring capital sources, extending the project implementation time and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee before October 30, 2025.
