Career guidance and student orientation after junior high school continued to achieve positive results, contributing to increasing the rate of students continuing their studies at vocational education institutions and vocational education and continuing education centers. Parents' awareness of the role of vocational education and continuing education has been increasingly improved, leading to an increase in the number of students compared to the previous school year. Along with that, the Project "Building a learning society in the period 2021-2030" has been effectively implemented, in line with local conditions.

However, the vocational education and training sector still faces many difficulties. The work of raising awareness and attracting workers to vocational training is still limited; investment resources for vocational training and developing skilled human resources have not met the requirements; some vocational training institutions have not met their enrollment targets, the teaching staff is still lacking and the quality is uneven.

At the conference, delegates discussed and made recommendations on many issues such as: lack of teachers, facilities and vocational training equipment not meeting requirements, and inadequate coordination in vocational training between centers.

Orienting the tasks for the 2025-2026 school year, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong Le Thi Bich Lien requested units to review, arrange and propose to reorganize the network of vocational education and continuing education facilities in accordance with the requirements of socio- economic development and the characteristics of the 2-level local government model. The arrangement needs to ensure reasonable distribution and maintain smooth and effective operations. At the same time, review and summarize the situation of teacher shortage to promptly arrange and regulate teaching staff.
The Director of the Department also emphasized the need to promote enrollment, improve training quality, and create favorable conditions for Continuing Education Centers to coordinate with secondary schools and colleges in teaching Continuing Education programs at the high school level according to regulations. The coordination needs to be flexible, practical, and suitable to the learning needs and labor requirements in the locality.
In addition, encourage Continuing Education Centers to proactively and creatively implement a pilot model of linkage and training linkage between Continuing Education and Vocational Education programs, forming a flexible learning path for learners according to the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training. At the same time, continue to advise on perfecting the network of vocational education and continuing education facilities, diversifying educational programs and mobilizing resources to effectively carry out the tasks of the new school year.
