The leadership of Thu Dau Mot University ( Binh Duong ) confirmed that the information about a student of the school being arrested by a group of people disguised as police officers is false information.


According to the leader of Thu Dau Mot University, at noon on February 20, the information spread that "a male student of Thu Dau Mot University was scammed by a group of people, impersonating police officers, driving a blue-plate car into the school to read the arrest warrant" causing a stir in public opinion.

"The board of directors has worked with specialized departments, including security forces and the Phu Hoa Ward Police, Thu Dau Mot City (where the school is located) and has confirmed that the incident did not occur as reported on social networks," said the leader of Thu Dau Mot University.

The leader of Thu Dau Mot University affirmed that there was no incident of "a group disguised as police entering the school to read the arrest warrant".

Previously, many social networking sites reported that a male student, who was said to be studying at Thu Dau Mot University, reported to the Binh Chuan Ward Police (Thuan An City, Binh Duong, where this student temporarily resides) that he was scammed by a group of people pretending to be police officers in a car with a blue license plate, who came to the school to read the arrest warrant. The information also mentioned that this male student had been scammed by many people pretending to be law enforcement agencies many times, so he tried to be cautious, but was still arrested and taken into the car.

However, after the police verified and clarified, this male student admitted that he had "told lies" to his family. After that, his family was afraid and reported the incident to the police for intervention.
