Family accuses preschool teacher of beating, dragging, and throwing 4-year-old girl against wall

A parent in Hanoi accused a kindergarten teacher of beating, dragging, and throwing her 4-year-old daughter against a wall in the classroom.

On the morning of July 9, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. TT (in Bo De ward, Hanoi ) said that his 4-year-old daughter, currently studying in class C2 at Gia Thuy Kindergarten, was beaten by a teacher named V.

He said that on the afternoon of July 5, while bathing his daughter, the family discovered many large bruises on her back, showing obvious signs of injury.

Immediately afterwards, the family took the child to the National Children's Hospital for a general health check-up and reported the incident to the school.

"During the night, teacher V. and a vice principal came to my house to apologize. However, during the discussion, the teacher only admitted to hitting the child once or twice because she refused to go to bed," Mr. T. shared.

Immediately after, on July 8, his family asked the school to review the classroom camera. Images extracted from the camera showed his daughter being dragged and brutally beaten by Ms. V., even grabbed by the collar and thrown against the wall.

Not stopping there, the teacher continued to drag the girl out into the hallway and continued to assault her. Another girl lying next to her was also grabbed by the legs by teacher V., pulled upside down, and thrown onto the bed.

Notably, according to Mr. T., at the time of the incident, another teacher named H. was present in the class but did not take any action to intervene.

The family said this was not the first time their child had been beaten, but it was only when the injuries on the child's body became apparent that they discovered the abuse and asked the school to take action.

"My child is still very scared. We have reported and worked with the local police and are determined not to let any other student be abused like our daughter," the parent affirmed.

Regarding this incident, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bo De Ward said that the leaders of the People's Committee of the ward have directed the ward police to verify, investigate, and strictly handle the case if it is true as reported by the parents.
