Pig price in the North
The price of live pigs in the Northern region continued to increase in the morning of April 17. Specifically, after adjustment, live pigs in Lao Cai and Vinh Phuc both reached 69,000 VND/kg.
Currently, live pigs in this area are being sold for around 67,000 - 70,000 VND/kg. Of which, Thai Binh and Hung Yen are the provinces with live pig prices reaching 70,000 VND/kg, the highest in the region.
Pig price in the Central Highlands region
After the adjustment on the morning of April 16, the pig market in the Central Highlands temporarily stagnated this morning.
Accordingly, live pigs in this area are being purchased by traders at around 68,000 - 73,000 VND/kg. The latest survey shows that the highest price in the region is 73,000 VND/kg in Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces.
Pig price in the Southern region
The Southern market recorded a slight increase in live hog prices in some localities. After Ben Tre, Dong Nai is the second locality to record live hog prices at 75,000 VND/kg, the highest in the country.
In the remaining provinces and cities in the region, live pigs are bought and sold at prices ranging from 73,000 - 75,000 VND/kg.
In general, the live hog market continued to increase slightly in the North and South, and stagnated in the Central Highlands this morning. Currently, the live hog price in the three regions fluctuates from 68,000 - 75,000 VND/kg.
