*Gold price increases strongly again
Early on May 24, the world gold price closed the weekend at 3,358 USD/ounce, up 58 USD compared to the lowest level in the trading session last night (3,300 USD/ounce). In Vietnam, by the end of May 23, the SJC gold price was listed at 120.5 million VND/tael (selling), while the ring gold price reached 115.5 million VND/tael.
*Binh Thuan dragon fruit price drops sharply at the beginning of the season

Dragon fruit farmers in Binh Thuan province are selling their fruit for only 4,000 VND/kg. This is the off-season dragon fruit crop, so production costs are quite high. With the cost of lighting, fertilizers and pesticides for the off-season crop, the price must be 7,000 - 8,000 VND/kg for growers to recover their capital.
*Vietnamese mangoes dominate the Chinese market
Vietnam currently accounts for 97% of the market share of imported mangoes in China, far surpassing competitors such as Peru, Australia, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Thailand. Of which, Thailand - a major supplier to China - has now fallen to 5th place with a turnover of only 65,000 USD, down 70% compared to the same period last year.
*iPhone price reduction up to 3 million
A survey at Apple's authorized retail systems in Vietnam shows that many new iPhone models and previous versions have simultaneously reduced prices, with common reductions ranging from 2.5 to 3 million VND.
Notably, the iPhone 13 is priced at just over 11 million VND. Currently, the 128GB iPhone 13 at dealers ranges from 11.59-11.99 million VND, down about 2 million VND compared to last month. The iPhone 13 versions with higher capacity (256GB) have the lowest price of 14.99 million VND.
