Northern region

The price of live pigs today (January 18, 2025) in the Northern region continued to decrease in provinces and cities such as Yen Bai, Lao Cai , Thai Nguyen and Ninh Binh, all decreasing by 1,000 VND/kg, bringing the price to the threshold of 67,000 to 68,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the price of live pigs in this area is fluctuating between 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg. In particular, the localities of Hanoi , Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen and Yen Bai still maintain the highest price of live pigs in the region at 69,000 VND/kg.

Central Highlands region

Similarly, the price of live pigs today (January 18, 2025) in the Central Highlands region also maintained a downward trend in Lam Dong and Dak Lak provinces, both down 1,000 VND/kg, respectively reaching 68,000 VND/kg and 67,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the price of live pigs in the Central Highlands region is still fluctuating between 66,000 - 68,000 VND/kg.

Southern region

On the contrary, the price of live pigs in the Southern region today (January 18, 2025) suddenly increased by 1,000 VND/kg in the two provinces of Dong Thap and Ca Mau, bringing the price to 69,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the price of live pigs in the Southern region is fluctuating between 67,000 and 69,000 VND/kg. Of which, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Kien Giang, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap and Ca Mau have the highest price of live pigs in the region at 69,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces have live pig prices ranging from 67,000 to 68,000 VND/kg.

In general, the live hog market today (January 18, 2025) recorded mixed fluctuations when the North and the Central Highlands continued to decrease while the South had a slight increase in price. Surveys show that live hogs nationwide are being traded in the range of 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.
