The Northern pig market today recorded stable developments in most provinces and cities.
Localities such as Bac Giang, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Hung Yen, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Vinh Phuc, Hanoi , Ninh Binh and Tuyen Quang kept the same price as yesterday.
Nam Dinh alone adjusted the price up slightly by 1,000 VND/kg, to 68,000 VND/kg.
Currently, the price of live pigs in this area fluctuates between 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in Central Highlands
Similar to the North, the Central and Central Highlands markets continued to be stable on June 2.
Provinces such as Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan all kept the previously listed prices.
Thanh Hoa is the only locality that recorded a change, with an increase of VND 1,000/kg, to VND 69,000/kg.
The price of live pigs in this area is currently around 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.

Unlike the other two regions, the Southern region today is completely flat, without recording any adjustments.
From Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau to the western provinces such as Long An, Dong Thap, An Giang, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Ca Mau, Tien Giang, Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre and Soc Trang, the price of live pigs remains stable.
Currently, the common price in the South fluctuates between 73,000 - 76,000 VND/kg.

The live hog market on June 2 was generally quiet with stable prices across the board. Only two localities in two different regions recorded slight fluctuations, increasing by VND1,000/kg, indicating that the sideways trend continues to prevail.
Nghe An focuses all efforts on fighting the epidemic
Faced with the complicated developments of the epidemic, Nghe An province is currently implementing solutions according to Decision No. 3385/QD-UBND dated October 1, 2020 on the Plan for prevention and control of African swine fever for the period 2020-2025.
Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and Environment plays the leading role, coordinating with districts and cities to monitor epidemics, control the transportation and trade of pigs and pig products. The Department of Finance is assigned to ensure funding sources; local authorities must develop specific plans, disseminate information, and promptly handle outbreaks.
In particular, the plan requires commune-level authorities to set up temporary quarantine checkpoints, mobile teams to control the transportation of animals and animal products; and to prepare adequate supplies, chemicals, equipment and forces to respond to outbreaks. However, the implementation in many places is still not uniform and lacks determination from the grassroots level.
Faced with the widespread outbreak of the epidemic, in early May, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De chaired a meeting, requesting localities to focus all their efforts on controlling the epidemic, not to be subjective or negligent, especially emphasizing: "Do not let the arrangement of the administrative apparatus affect the work of preventing and fighting the epidemic", Nghe An newspaper reported.
