Pig price today in the South. (Synthesis: Du Y)

In general, the live hog market across the country today shows clear differentiation by region. The North has a slight downward trend, the Central Highlands - Central region remains stable, while the South records slight increases in some localities.

Recurrence of African swine fever and lumpy skin disease in Thach Ha

According to information from Thach Ha district, since April 11, in Phu Luu commune, 3 cows in 3 households in Dong Chau and My Hoa villages were found to have lumpy skin disease. To date, 2/3 of the cows have died; the weight to be destroyed is 275 kg.

Along with lumpy skin disease, since April 13, in Luu Vinh Son commune, an outbreak of African swine fever has appeared in pigs of 4 households in the villages of Tan Huong, Xuan Son, Bau Am. The number of sick and dead pigs is 6, with a total weight of 559 kg.

Previously, since the beginning of 2025, in Thach Ha district, African swine fever outbreaks have continuously appeared in Thinh Loc and Thach Chau communes... causing nearly 50 pigs to die and have to be destroyed.

Faced with the complicated situation of livestock epidemics, Thach Ha district is urgently implementing many prevention and control solutions; promptly distributing chemicals, lime powder, Lumpyvac vaccine, human resources, and tools for mass spraying, preventive vaccination, setting up blockades in areas where the epidemic has occurred, and implementing large-scale prevention. Departments, agencies, and sectors, according to their functions, have strengthened inspection and supervision of the implementation of disease prevention and control measures in localities; promptly providing guidance and disseminating contents related to disease prevention and control, according to Ha Tinh newspaper.
