In particular, in order to promote the development of basic and applied sciences, the province has focused on improving the operational efficiency of the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) and upgrading the Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (IFIRSE) to become a national key research institute. The research focus is determined in four areas: Quantum, Neutrinos, Astronomy and Physics - Biology.
After merging the province and implementing the two-level local government model, Gia Lai has reviewed and deployed 147 tasks of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW. To date, the province has completed 76 tasks, and 68 tasks are still being deployed. Among them, there are many outstanding results, such as: Allocating 263.3 billion VND to equip facilities, machinery, equipment, and transmission lines for commune level, ensuring the smooth operation of the government apparatus; increasing provincial-level civil servants and public employees to support grassroots in handling problems; organizing professional training and building electronic handbooks for lookup; deploying AI Virtual Assistant for the entire province to improve work efficiency; and connecting and exploiting the national population database in many fields.
The provincial administrative procedure settlement information system has granted access to population data to 1,332 accounts with more than 224,000 accesses. Data digitization continues to be promoted, completing the digitization of 2.9 million household registration data (100%); cleaning over 99% of enterprise tax code data; updating 100% of cadre, civil servant and public employee records; cleaning 1.62 million land use right certificates (80%) and checking the remaining 440,000 records, expected to be completed in October 2025.
At the same time, the province has approved a plan to reduce processing time and compliance costs for 235 administrative procedures with a reduction rate of 44.05% (exceeding the Central target of 30%); at the same time, it issued a list of 2,144 administrative procedures implemented without administrative boundaries and continued to replicate the non-boundary model for files received directly at the Public Administration Service Center.
According to the assessment results of the People and Business Service Index on the National Public Service Portal, Gia Lai achieved 89.05 points, classified as good.

During the implementation process, the province identified the implementation of Plan No. 02-KH/BCĐTW of the Central Steering Committee as a key driving force, helping to strengthen data connectivity, unify processes and improve data-based management efficiency. Currently, Gia Lai is continuing to review the tasks of Plan 02 to ensure progress and create substantial changes from the province to the grassroots.
Based on the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW, Gia Lai proposed that the Ministry of Science and Technology urge ministries and branches to unify the implementation of national digital platforms, support the province in the field of basic research and the process of upgrading IFIRSE. The province also requested central ministries and branches to accelerate the construction of national and specialized databases and share data from 116 databases according to Resolution 71-NQ/CP, serving analysis and management.
Gia Lai also proposed that the Ministry of Public Security consider decentralizing power so that localities can proactively manage learning materials and evaluate training results on the "Digital Popular Education" platform; at the same time, support the province in connecting, exploiting and cross-checking digitized data sets with the National Population Database.
