Gia Lai cooperates with Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics to train high-quality human resources.

(NLDO) - In order to improve the quality of staff and promote digital transformation, Gia Lai has signed a training cooperation agreement with Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.

On the afternoon of November 13, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee held a signing ceremony for a training cooperation agreement with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH). The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang, with representatives of relevant departments and branches attending.

Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee signed a cooperation agreement with Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics on training.

The cooperation agreement aims to develop high-quality human resources to meet the province's requirements of innovation, integration and digital transformation in the new period.

The two sides agreed to implement many key cooperation contents, including: training and fostering of cadres, civil servants and public employees; consulting, research and policy review; scientific cooperation, innovation, building smart cities and expanding international cooperation in training and research.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics commits to coordinate in organizing training programs suitable to local realities, especially postgraduate training, short-term training and capacity building for grassroots staff in the context of Gia Lai implementing a two-level local government model.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang highly appreciated UEH's training and research capacity, and emphasized that Gia Lai has many outstanding potentials in tourism, artificial intelligence, semiconductor industry and key projects being implemented, requiring high-quality human resources to exploit effectively.

The cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics is expected to contribute to improving the quality of staff, promoting scientific research, policy consulting and building socio-economic development models, thereby increasing competitiveness and sustainable development for Gia Lai province.
