The tax sector will have mobile points at the market to support business households paying lump-sum tax to declare.
Speaking to a reporter from the Lao Dong Newspaper on the afternoon of November 13, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Deputy Head of Ho Chi Minh City Tax, said that the unit has just implemented the Plan "60 peak days of converting the model from lump-sum tax to declaration for business households" at all 29 affiliated tax agencies.
The goal is to convert all 345,493 business households paying lump-sum tax to the declaration form before January 1, 2026, contributing to improving transparency, fairness and efficiency in tax management.
Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department reviews and standardizes data on business households; clearly identifies groups eligible for conversion or encouraged conversion to enterprises. Provides guidance on "one-touch" business processes, promotes direct and mobile support points at traditional markets and commercial streets, helping business households easily convert. Completes information technology infrastructure, supports taxpayers in declaring and paying taxes electronically conveniently and transparently.
"In particular, Ho Chi Minh City Tax also strengthens data review and supervision of the creation and use of electronic invoices to avoid missing unregistered and untaxed business households," Mr. Dung added.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mai Son, Deputy Director of the Tax Department ( Ministry of Finance ), said that currently, the country has about 3.6 million business households, of which 2-2.5 million households need direct support. These are households facing many difficulties in terms of facilities and access to information, so the tax sector is highly focused in the 60 peak days on supporting the conversion from lump-sum tax payment to declaration.
"Currently, there are more than 110 software solution providers connecting electronic invoices. During the 60-day peak campaign, the tax authority will survey the facilities and understanding of tax policies, as well as the difficulties and problems of business households to have appropriate support plans," Mr. Son added.
