As of December 17, 2025, the domestic rice market remains stable due to the transitional period between harvests, resulting in slow trading activity. Prices for paddy and rice of all types have not fluctuated significantly, while export rice prices have maintained a slight upward trend, supporting the domestic market.
Rice prices in various localities
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the prices of fresh rice in the area remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Supply is not abundant because farmers no longer have much rice left and the new crop has not yet been fully harvested.

Export market
According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), Vietnam's export rice prices remain stable and are showing a slight upward trend. This is an important factor preventing domestic rice prices from falling amidst sluggish domestic trading.
| type of rice | Price (USD/ton) |
|---|---|
| Fragrant rice with 5% broken grains | 435 – 460 |
| Jasmine rice | 454 – 458 |
| White rice with 5% broken grains | 362 – 366 |
In the short term, the rice market is expected to remain stable. Prices are unlikely to fluctuate significantly unless there are sudden changes in weather or a sharp increase in import demand from major markets.
