Rice price today March 22: Not much fluctuation

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) decreased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,500 - 6,600 VND/kg; the price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,500 - 5,700 VND/kg; the price of OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,800 - 6,000 VND/kg; the price of OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 6,500 - 6,600 VND/kg; the price of OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,200 - 5,400 VND/kg; and Nang Hoa 9 rice was at 6,300 - 6,500 VND/kg.

In many localities today, there is little supply and quite a lot of trading. In Hau Giang , there is still little supply, most of the rice has been deposited, the price is stable. In An Giang, there are only sporadic transactions, the price of rice is relatively stable.

Similarly, with rice, according to an update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, raw rice 5451 fluctuates at 8,600 - 8,750 VND/kg; raw rice OM 380 fluctuates at 7,750 - 7,900 VND/kg; raw rice IR 504 fluctuates at 8,100 - 8,200 VND/kg; finished rice OM 380 fluctuates at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; finished rice IR 504 fluctuates at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

Regarding by-products, the price of by-products ranges from 6,700 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice ranges from 7,100 - 7,300 VND/kg; broken rice ranges from 6,700 - 6,800 VND/kg; the price of bran ranges from 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg.

Recorded in localities today, the quantity is scattered, the price of rice of all kinds fluctuates little. In An Giang, the quantity is quite good, warehouses buy fragrant rice regularly, the price increases slightly. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity is small, warehouses buy regularly, the price increases slightly for fragrant rice and good quality rice.

Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap), small quantity, stable prices of all kinds of rice. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), small quantity, prices fluctuate little.

At retail markets, prices of all types of rice are stable compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of 28,000 VND/kg; regular rice fluctuates at 15,000 - 16,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at 18,000 - 20,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice at 22,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000 VND/kg; common white rice at 17,000 VND/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at 18,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice is 21,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice is 22,000 VND/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today remained unchanged compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 397 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 369 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 313 USD/ton.
