Gold price today April 25: Domestic price is nearly 16 million VND more expensive than world price

On the morning of April 25, the world gold price was trading around 3,354 USD/ounce, unchanged after a day despite many fluctuations in the session on April 24 (US time). Converted according to Vietcombank exchange rate, the world gold price is equivalent to 105.8 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees).

Domestically, the price of gold bars at Saigon Jewelry Company - SJC was bought at 119.5 million VND/tael, sold at 121.5 million VND, an increase of 1 million VND for buying and 500,000 VND for selling compared to the end of yesterday. This brought the difference between buying and selling prices down to 2 million VND/tael instead of 2.5 - 3 million VND as the previous day. Gold prices have fluctuated continuously in recent days and the difference between buying and selling prices has also changed rapidly. Currently, each tael of SJC gold bar is 15.7 million VND more expensive than the world price.

SJC has kept the buying price of 4-number 9 gold rings unchanged at 113.5 million VND and the selling price at 116.5 million VND. Other gold and gemstone trading companies have not changed the buying and selling price of gold rings, such as Phu Nhuan Gold and Gemstone Company (PNJ) which continues to buy at 113.5 million VND and sell at 116.8 million VND; Doji Company also buys at 113.5 million VND and sells at 116.3 million VND...

The world gold price has fluctuated strongly in recent days following information about tariffs between the US and other countries. Speaking on CNBC, Mr. Tai Wong, an independent metals investor, said the whole market is just one story, tariffs.

At the moment. China is playing the angry side, causing the USD to fall and gold to rise. The precious metal has hit a record high of $3,500/oz and needs a correction to take it in. Gold looks to be moving sideways for the next few sessions but we are in a bull market so there will definitely be some significant dips to be bought into.

At the end of the trading session on April 24 (early morning of April 25, Vietnam time), the S&P 500 index increased 2.03% to 5,484.77 points; the Nasdaq Composite index added 2.74% to 17,166.04 points and the Dow Jones increased 486.83 points, equivalent to 1.23% to 40,093.40 points.
