The devoted 'ferryman'

During 22 years of working as a teacher, Ms. Nguyen Thi Truc Linh - homeroom teacher of class 2/4, Tan An Primary School (Tan An City, Long An Province), has always been dedicated, creative and constantly strives for her beloved students.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Truc Linh (Tan An Primary School, Tan An City) always cares about each student.

In 2003, after graduating from Long An Pedagogical College, Ms. Truc Linh volunteered to work in Hung Dien B commune, Tan Hung district. As an urban girl, to adapt to life in the border area , she overcame many difficulties.

The sincere, simple feelings and rustic gifts of just a few eggs, fish, a bunch of vegetables,... from the parents warmed the hearts and "held" the young teacher.

After 17 years working in Tan Hung district, due to family circumstances, she transferred to work in Tan An city. She actively applies information technology in teaching, exploiting the technological equipment equipped at the school to bring students lively and attractive lessons.

She boldly applied active teaching methods such as peer learning; group discussion, competing for good scores to give to mothers and teachers based on the topic, creating interest in learning and strengthening friendships among students.

As a homeroom teacher , Ms. Truc Linh always cares about each student. Ms. Truc Linh shared: "I believe that to teach well, first of all, I must love my students. Therefore, I often learn about their circumstances to promptly support and help them."

With the motto “Putting students at the center”, Ms. Truc Linh regularly innovates teaching methods. In 7 consecutive school years (from 2017-2018 to 2023-2024), she was classified as having completed her tasks excellently and received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

She also won the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level 4 times, and many times won the title of excellent teacher and excellent homeroom teacher at the city level./.
