SJC gold bar price officially reaches 125 million VND per tael

The price of SJC gold increased sharply on the afternoon of August 18, exceeding 125 million VND/tael, along with that, the USD exchange rate at commercial banks also increased sharply by 20 VND.

Continuing the upward trend of this morning session (August 18), the price of SJC gold bars in this afternoon session increased by 300,000 VND/tael compared to the morning session, officially reaching the milestone of 125 million VND/tael, which is also the highest price ever. The exchange rate at commercial banks also increased by 20 VND/USD.

At 4:30 p.m., the price of SJC gold at Saigon Jewelry Company and Doji Company was listed at 124-125 million VND/tael (buy/sell), while at Phu Quy Company it was announced at 123-125 million VND/tael, both up 300,000 VND/tael.

At the same time, the price of gold rings at Phu Quy Company was from 116.8-119.8 million VND/tael (buy/sell), an increase of 200,000 VND/tael; while at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, it was from 117.2-120.2 million VND/tael, also adjusted to increase by 200,000 VND/tael.

In this afternoon session, the difference between buying and selling prices was still maintained at a high level by businesses, in which SJC gold fluctuated from 1-2 million VND/tael, and ring gold was 3 million VND/tael.

In the world, the precious metal fluctuated around 3,351 USD/ounce, up 5 USD/ounce compared to the morning session. This price is equivalent to 106.9 million VND/tael when converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank .

This afternoon, the exchange rate at commercial banks also increased by 20 VND compared to the morning session.

Specifically, Vietcombank announced the USD exchange rate from 26,080-26,470 VND/USD, an increase of 20 VND compared to the previous closing price.

Vietinbank traded from 26,017-26,477 VND/USD (buy/sell), up 27 VND; BIDV also increased 20 VND, currently trading around 26,110-26,470 VND/USD (buy/sell).

Eximbank listed from 26,090-26,470 VND/USD (buy/sell), also increased 20 VND compared to the previous session./.
