Gold price increases, oil decreases, USD recovers

At the end of the trading session on November 15, the price of SJC 4-digit 9 gold bars in Ho Chi Minh City was listed at VND69.8 million per tael for buying and VND70.6 million per tael for selling. The price of SJC 4-digit 9 gold bars in Hanoi was VND69.8 million per tael for buying and VND70.62 million per tael for selling.

Doji gold bar price in Hanoi is traded at 69.7 million VND per tael for buying and 70.55 million VND per tael for selling.

The international spot gold price on Kitco floor at 9:21 p.m. on November 15, Vietnam time was listed at 1,963.9 USD per ounce. The futures gold price was at 1,969 USD per ounce.

Gold prices today, November 16, on the international market continued to increase sharply as the USD decreased and countries continued to buy gold.

On the stock market , at the end of the trading session on November 15, VN-Index increased by 12.77 points, to 1,122.5 points. HNX-Index increased by 0.45 points, to 227.88 points. UPCoM-Index increased by 0.35 points, to 87 points.

The central exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong and the US dollar announced by the State Bank on November 15 was 24,016 VND/USD, down 4 VND compared to the previous session. Meanwhile, the USD price at commercial banks on November 15 decreased sharply, closing the session listed around 24,070-24,440 VND/USD (buy - sell).

The world USD price shows signs of recovery. The DXY index - measuring the strength of the USD against 6 major currencies - at 9:16 p.m. on November 15, Vietnam time was at 104.3 points, up 0.24% compared to the previous session.

Oil prices on the world market continued to fall today, November 16, after tensions in the Middle East showed signs of easing and US oil inventories increased slightly. Brent crude oil prices have lost the $82 per barrel mark.

In the domestic market, the retail prices of gasoline and oil today, November 16, are applied according to the prices at the afternoon management session of November 13 of the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade. The retail prices of gasoline and oil are accordingly adjusted downward.

Specifically, the price of E5 gasoline decreased to 22,270 VND per liter. The price of RON 95 gasoline decreased to 23,530 VND per liter.
Diesel price dropped to VND20,880 per liter. Kerosene price dropped to VND21,510 per liter.
