The price of 4-digit 9 gold bars at SJC Hanoi was listed at VND66.4 million per tael for buying and VND67.02 million for selling.
Doji Hanoi listed at 66.4 million VND per tael for buying and 67 million VND per tael for selling.
On the world market, the spot gold price on the night of June 1, Vietnam time, was trading around 1,974.2 USD per ounce. The futures gold price was trading at 1,973 USD per ounce.
World gold prices continued to increase after the US employment report was released and the possibility of the US escaping the risk of default.
According to the recently released employment report, the US economy added 278,000 jobs in May. This is the third consecutive month of unexpected job growth.
Meanwhile, the agreement to raise the US debt ceiling has been approved by the House of Representatives and sent to the Senate for the next vote.
The US Federal Reserve raised the possibility of supporting the option of not raising interest rates in June. This gives the Fed more time to thoroughly assess the state of the economy.
On the stock market , in the trading session on June 1, VN-Index increased slightly. At the end of the trading session, VN-Index increased by 3.22 points, to 1,078.39 points. HNX-Index increased by 1.16 points, to 223.97 points. UpCoM-Index increased by 1.46 points (+1.78%), to 83.51 points.
Regarding the dollar price , the exchange rate of Vietnamese Dong against the US dollar was listed by the State Bank on June 1 at 23,729 VND per USD, an increase of 15 VND compared to the previous day.
The reference exchange rate at the State Bank of Vietnam on June 1 was 23,400 VND for buying and 24,865 VND for selling per USD. The USD price at commercial banks on June 1 was traded around 23,280 VND for buying and 23,650 VND for selling.
In the world, the price of the US dollar reversed and decreased slightly. The DXY index - measuring the strength of the USD compared to 6 major currencies - at 9:48 p.m. on June 1st fell to 103.87 points, down 0.44% compared to the previous session.
Global oil prices have not stopped falling due to many factors such as weak economic data from China, increased US oil reserves and the strengthening of the US dollar. Brent crude oil prices fell to $72 per barrel, while WTI crude oil prices were at $67 per barrel.
In the domestic market, the selling prices of gasoline and oil today are applied according to the prices at the management session on the afternoon of June 1 of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade.
Accordingly, the price of RON 95 gasoline increased by 520 VND per liter, selling price is 22,010 VND per liter. E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 390 VND per liter, to 20,870 VND per liter. Diesel price decreased by 10 VND per liter, down to 17,940 VND per liter. Kerosene price decreased by 190 VND per liter, down to 17,770 VND per liter.
