Prices of major fuels including RON95 gasoline and E5RON92 have slightly increased, while diesel and kerosene prices have decreased sharply since 3:00 p.m. today, May 29.

On May 29, based on the developments in world oil prices , fluctuations in the VND/USD exchange rate and current regulations, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided to adjust retail prices of petroleum products to ensure domestic prices are consistent with world trends and encourage fuel use.

Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline is not higher than VND19,196/liter (an increase of VND74/liter compared to the current base price); RON95-III gasoline is not higher than VND19,565/liter (an increase of VND33/liter compared to the current base price).

In the opposite direction, diesel 0.05S is not higher than 17,136 VND/liter (down 269 VND/liter compared to the current base price); kerosene is not higher than 17,108 VND/liter (down 206 VND/liter compared to the current base price); mazut 180CST 3.5S is not higher than 16,264 VND/kg (down 248 VND/liter compared to the current base price).

Thus, since the beginning of the year, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 22 adjustments, of which RON 95 gasoline increased 11 times and decreased 11 times; diesel oil increased 10 times, decreased 11 times and remained unchanged once.

In this operating period, the management agency will not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and fuel oil. The adjusted selling prices of petroleum products will be determined by the petroleum wholesale traders and petroleum distributors, but no later than 3:00 p.m. on May 29.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade will coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect and supervise the implementation of the responsibility of ensuring the supply of gasoline to the market by gasoline traders and will strictly handle violations (if any).
