The most prestigious tournament in Vietnamese Golf
Journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, said that recently, Tien Phong Newspaper has organized many national events. On June 14, in Hue City, Tien Phong Newspaper will host the final night of Miss Vietnam.

Journalist Phung Cong Suong emphasized that the National Golf Championship is the most prestigious and longest-standing tournament in Vietnamese golf.
In the 3 years 2022 - 2024, Tien Phong Newspaper coordinated with the Department of Sports and Physical Training, Department of Culture and Sports of Hai Phong City, Vietnam Golf Association to organize the National Golf Championship, VinFast Cup. The tournament was a great success, contributing to and developing the country's golf sport and bringing good communication effects to Hai Phong City, the locality that coordinated the organization.
Notably, the tournament has gradually improved both in terms of expertise and media scale. The event is broadcast live on many platforms, attracting tens of thousands of viewers each round. Thereby, contributing to spreading the image of golf - a high-class sport, increasingly popular in the lives of Vietnamese people.
Based on the wishes of golfers and the proposal of the Vietnam Golf Association to bring the National Golf Championship to many different arenas, especially the Southern provinces, Tien Phong Newspaper proposed to coordinate the organization of the 2025 tournament in Binh Dinh, a dynamic, beautiful, hospitable land and a locality with sufficient conditions and technical infrastructure to organize a tournament with high professional quality.
Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper Phung Cong Suong hopes that, with the prestige of the tournament and the influence of the media, the tournament will effectively promote the image of Binh Dinh province - a locality that is growing strongly, with the goal of becoming a center of marine economy; a center of science and technology, innovation, an important place for applying artificial intelligence in Vietnam and a major tourist center of the country.

At the meeting, representatives of Tien Phong Newspaper presented the tentative plan for the 2025 National Golf Championship - VinFast Cup. The Organizing Committee of this year's tournament includes: Tien Phong Newspaper, Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department, Binh Dinh Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vietnam Golf Association.
The tournament will have the participation of 160 golfers (including 120 male golfers and 40 female golfers) with the highest level in Vietnam. The total value of the tournament's cash prize is 1.2 billion VND. Of which, 1 billion VND is for the men's competition, 200 million VND is for the women's competition.

Binh Dinh is ready to welcome the tournament
Mr. Lam Hai Giang - Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee assessed that the National Golf Championship is a prestigious tournament and the locality wants the tournament to come to Binh Dinh. Regarding the tournament organization plan, Mr. Giang said that it was highly supported by the collective leadership of the Provincial People's Committee.

The leaders of Binh Dinh province realized that the successful organization of the tournament contributed to the reputation of the locality, as well as creating attractiveness for the sports movement in the locality, as well as the region. The tournament came to Binh Dinh at a time when the province was focusing on developing event tourism and sports tourism, aiming to create new and unique local tourism products of national, regional and international stature.
Typically, Binh Dinh has successfully organized the UIM F1H2O World Championship, the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024, and it is expected that the tournament will continue to come to Binh Dinh this year.

“Binh Dinh Province will accompany Tien Phong Newspaper to organize this year's National Golf Championship,” said Mr. Lam Hai Giang - Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, and at the same time, he said that he will assign work to relevant units to implement in the coming time, with a high sense of responsibility.
In addition, the Provincial People's Committee Office was assigned to proactively coordinate with Tien Phong Newspaper to propose a series of sideline activities along with the tournament.

After the meeting, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee agreed on the time to organize the tournament, expected in August 2025.
Business support
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Bui Trung Hieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh province affirmed the locality's readiness to coordinate in organizing the tournament. The provincial tourism sector also proactively invited relevant units to the meeting. Before that, the Department had initial discussions with Tien Phong Newspaper on tournament organization issues.
The representative of Binh Dinh Tourism Association noted that the National Golf Championship is a special activity, helping to develop local tourism, as well as attract investment. Regarding accommodation support, in addition to FLC Hotel & Resorts, Binh Dinh Tourism Association will call for more from its members to ensure enough rooms, contributing to the success of the tournament.
Sharing the same opinion about the significance of the tournament, the representative of FLC Hotel & Resorts shared that the National Golf Championship is a tournament that gathers many golfers, with a very methodical organization plan. The successful organization of the tournament will promote the image of the locality very well. In the spirit of the province's policy, businesses will accompany and provide support to organize the tournament.
