Specifically, the decline in poultry prices was largely offset by small or moderate increases in lamb, pork and beef prices, driven by ample supplies from some of the leading producing countries.
In contrast, lamb prices increased sharply due to continued strong import demand. Meanwhile, global pork prices increased slightly due to stable import growth and increased domestic consumption, especially in North America.
World beef prices remain generally stable due to a good balance of global supply and demand.
