TH Group inaugurates the milk processing factory with the leading capacity in the Russian Federation

Senior leaders of Vietnam and the Russian Federation and representatives of TH Group performed the ceremony of pressing the button to inaugurate the Factory (in Moscow).

This important event was honored to have the support and encouragement of Comrade To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

Taking place simultaneously with the Vietnam-Russia Business Forum in Moscow, one of the important activities of General Secretary To Lam during his visit to Russia, the Inauguration Ceremony in Kaluga was broadcast live to the Forum as a vivid symbol of the achievements of cooperation between Vietnam and Russia.

During the ceremony, the two countries' senior leaders jointly pressed the button to inaugurate and officially operate the modern production lines of the TH fresh milk processing factory, completing an important link in the closed production chain "from green pastures to clean glasses of milk", bringing the TH true MILK brand far into Russia.

Emotionally sharing at the ceremony, TH Group Founder, Labor Hero Thai Huong said: “This is a great event, marking a milestone of success in TH Group's strategic vision. On this occasion, Ms. Thai Huong sincerely thanked the leaders of the Party, State and Government of Vietnam for their deep concern and support; especially General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking delegation of Vietnamese leaders. She also expressed her gratitude to President Putin, the Russian Government agencies and the leaders of Kaluga province for creating a stable and transparent investment environment as well as creating all favorable conditions for the project.

Symbol of Vietnam-Russia friendship in the heart of Kaluga

The inauguration ceremony of the TH Fresh Milk Processing Plant took place in the context of Vietnam and Russia celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, marking a new milestone in the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership. The two countries' senior leaders agreed to promote new cooperation orientations, in which agriculture emerged as a potential pillar.

TH fresh milk processing factory in Kaluga is a testament to the promise and aspiration of Labor Hero Thai Huong - Founder of TH Group, who is considered the "chief architect" of the entire project: "I will bring Vietnamese milk to the world."

The project was implemented during a challenging period, from embargoes to the Covid-19 pandemic and profound geopolitical fluctuations. However, with perseverance and strong determination, bearing the heroic virtues of a heroic nation - Ms. Thai Huong led the project not only to overcome difficulties, but also to achieve outstanding achievements, bringing science and technology, management science to create an advanced and modern production, helping the project achieve milk productivity and quality that are among the top in the Russian Federation and the world.

Advanced technology, leading scale in the Russian Federation

TH fresh milk processing factory is built in the industrial park of the special economic zone "Kaluga", on an area of nearly 15 hectares, about 100 km from the capital Moscow. With a designed capacity of 1,000 tons/day, of which phase 1 reaches 500 tons/day, this is one of the factories with the leading processing capacity in Russia today. The factory uses 100% of raw materials from TH Group's high-tech farms located in Moscow and Kaluga provinces - where fresh milk sources are considered to be of the highest quality in the Russian Federation today.

Thanks to the application of high-yield dairy cows imported from the US, combined with advanced breeding technology and a modern management system, the TH cow herd in Russia has achieved an impressive average productivity of 40-41 liters/cow/day. Many cows produce 60-90 liters/day and one cow in particular has reached a record of up to 104 liters/day. Not only stopping at productivity, the milk quality has also reached an outstanding level, with a fat content of 4.0% and a protein content of 3.2% - among the highest in the Russian market.

Even before the Kaluga factory went into operation, TH’s raw fresh milk was purchased by major Russian dairy brands such as Danone and PepsiCo at high prices, thanks to its superior standards. Currently, TH’s total herd of dairy cows in the two regions of Kaluga and Moscow is approaching the 10,000 mark.

The product portfolio of TH Fresh Milk Processing Factory in Kaluga is very diverse, including traditional products popular in the Russian market such as pasteurized and sterilized fresh milk, Smetana, Yogurt, Kefir, Ryazhenka, butter, cheese and cream...

The factory also produces new product lines, aiming at community health care, preventing common non-communicable diseases such as obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. These products are developed based on a harmonious combination of local tastes and the creative spirit typical of the TH brand.

After completing phase 1 with a capacity of 500 tons/day, TH Group will continue to implement phase 2 to increase the total capacity of the factory to 1,000 tons/day by 2026. At the same time, TH will start construction of the K2 farm in Kaluga, while expanding the model of dairy farming and processing clean fresh milk to other strategic regions such as Primorye (Far East) and the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The understanding, companionship and facilitation from the two governments, together with the perseverance of TH people, have brought about positive socio-economic impacts. The project not only contributed to restructuring the Russian agricultural sector, but also revived tens of thousands of hectares of abandoned land in Moscow and Kaluga into fertile fields, creating jobs for more than 500 Russian workers. Above all, this is also a symbol of “people’s diplomacy” - where economic vision blends with the strong friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, crystallized in every drop of clean, sincere milk, full of sustainable values.
