The E-Lab practice room at the Vietnam Aviation Academy has just been put into use with an investment of about 1 billion VND. The lab uses virtual reality (VR) technology to serve training activities for students. According to Dr. Luu Van Thuan, Faculty of Aviation Engineering, in reality, airports always ensure a high level of security, so it is very difficult for students to practice directly. From this reality, the school's lecturers carry out research topics on 3D digitization of the entire airport using software to model images of aircraft, terminals, runways, parking lots, etc. and use virtual reality technology equipment for students to practice. Students must operate aircraft towing vehicles, passenger cars, ladder trucks, etc. on 3D models that ensure technical and safety standards of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, helping them become familiar with the control rules and safety when using the vehicles.
