The two-day tour program on June 13 and 14 by artist Nguyen Bao Anh is part of the activities promoting Vietnamese culture of the Vietnam Exhibition House at the World Exhibition EXPO 2025 Osaka.
Nguyen Bao Anh is currently one of the outstanding young saxophone artists in Vietnam. Graduated from the Vietnam National Academy of Music, Bao Anh has gradually asserted herself through many major stages. In 2024, Bao Anh received the award "Outstanding Saxophone Performer" at the National Band Festival.

With the support and coordination of the Vietnam Exhibition House, Bao Anh's tour includes 2 solo performances at the Vietnam Exhibition House stage and the outdoor stage of EXPO 2025 and a joint performance with Portuguese artists at the Portugal Exhibition House. True to the title "Saxophone Across Cultures: Vietnam Meets Japan", Bao Anh brings to EXPO 2025 the best melodies from his personal album "Thanh am thoi gian" (released in November 2024) - an album with a strong Vietnamese - Japanese identity, showing the subtle exchange between the two music cultures.

In just two days, with three performances, Bao Anh’s saxophone reached thousands of Japanese and international audiences. As one of the audience members who stood for more than 30 minutes in the pouring rain to enjoy Nguyen Bao Anh’s outdoor performance, Ms. Miyuki from Osaka said: “I learned about Taruki Sax through Youtube. After hearing that Taruki was coming to EXPO to perform, I told myself I had to come and see it live… I was very touched and impressed by Taruki’s saxophone.”
According to Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation Tran Nhat Hoang, artist Bao Anh opens the way for young artists to promote the face of modern Vietnamese music. Thus, in addition to regular programs promoting traditional culture, at this EXPO, the Department of International Cooperation plans to bring the youthful lifestyle of young, contemporary Vietnamese artists to the world audience through the EXPO stage.
