Amidst the raging flood, Quang Tri Police successfully rescued 5 trapped people.

Huong Hiep Commune Police (Quang Tri) along with Fire Prevention and Rescue forces crossed the rapids and successfully rescued 5 people trapped for nearly 2 days in a cajuput forest.

At noon on August 30, Huong Hiep Commune Police received a report that 5 people working in the cajuput forest in Thuong Lam village, Cam Lo were stuck for nearly 2 days, without food, and their lives were in danger.

Rescue 5 people surrounded by flood for 2 days

Immediately, Huong Hiep Commune Police coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police to deploy an emergency rescue plan in the conditions of high flood water and strong currents.

People were rescued

After more than 4 hours, from 11:30 to 15:50, 25 officers and soldiers approached and brought all 5 people out safely.
