Hanoi has two more specialized high schools.

Hanoi city has 2 more specialized schools: Chu Van An High School for the Gifted and Son Tay High School for the Gifted.

The Hanoi City People's Committee has just issued a decision on the reorganization of Chu Van An High School (Tay Ho District) and Son Tay High School (Son Tay Town).

According to Decision No. 266/QD-UBND dated January 15, 2025, the Hanoi People's Committee decided to reorganize Chu Van An High School into Chu Van An High School for the Gifted under the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. The school's address is at No. 10, Thuy Khue Street, Thuy Khue Ward, Tay Ho District.

According to Decision No. 265/QD-UBND dated January 15, 2025, the Hanoi People's Committee decided to reorganize Son Tay High School into Son Tay Specialized High School under the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. The school's address is at No. 57, Den Va Street, Trung Hung Ward, Son Tay Town.

These two schools are organized and operated in compliance with current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training for specialized high schools as prescribed. The schools are under the direct and comprehensive direction and management of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and other relevant agencies.

In previous years, these two schools recruited both non-specialized and specialized students. According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, when they officially become specialized schools, the enrollment quota for non-specialized students of the two schools will no longer be available.

Thus, in the 2024-2025 school year, Hanoi city has 4 specialized high schools under the Department of Education and Training, including: Hanoi - Amsterdam Specialized High School, Nguyen Hue Specialized High School, Chu Van An Specialized High School and Son Tay Specialized High School.
