Hanoi won the national championship of strong teams in Kickboxing

At the end of the National Kickboxing Championship in Vung Tau city, Ba Ria Vung Tau province on April 9, the Hanoi team once again demonstrated their superior strength by taking the lead in both the men's and women's categories.

Awarding prizes to the teams with high rankings

In the men's weight categories, Hanoi Kickboxing took the lead with 6 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal. In the women's categories, Hanoi also took the lead with 7 gold medals and 1 bronze medal.

Meanwhile, second place in the men's competition was Binh Duong with 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 4 bronze medals, third place was Nghe An with 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal. In the women's competition, Thai Nguyen ranked second with 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 5 bronze medals; third place was Binh Dinh with 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.

With the superiority in the total number of medals won compared to the remaining delegations, the Hanoi delegation once again showed its superiority in this attractive sport. Besides, the tournament also witnessed the strong rise of the delegations of Binh Duong, Nghe An, Thai Nguyen and Binh Dinh.

This year's tournament has nearly 400 boxers from 41 teams in 38 provinces, cities and sectors competing in three main categories: K1, Full Contact and Low Kick. The boxers compete in many weight classes, competing in 3 rounds, each round lasting 2 minutes. Specifically, in the Lowkick category, male boxers compete in 12 weight classes, from under 45kg to under 91kg; female boxers compete in 9 weight classes from under 46kg to under 75kg.

In the Full Contact event, male boxers compete in 10 weight categories from under 46kg to under 75kg and female boxers compete in 7 weight categories from under 46kg to under 69kg. In the K1 event, male boxers compete in 10 weight categories, from under 45kg to under 71kg; female boxers compete in 5 weight categories, from under 48kg to under 65kg.

According to Mr. Vu Duc Thinh, President of the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation, the 2025 Kickboxing Strong Team Championship is an important sporting event to develop the Kickboxing training movement.

The tournament is not only a place for competition but also an opportunity for athletes to gain experience, test their professional skills and prepare for international tournaments.

The event also contributes to promoting the image of Vietnamese Kickboxing and boosting the domestic sports movement.

Besides, the tournament is also a step to review and prepare the force of Vietnam Kickboxing for the SEA Games and an opportunity to promote Vung Tau tourism with attractive products for tourists.
