Hanoi regulates traffic to welcome US President's delegation to visit Vietnam

(Dan Tri) - On the afternoon of September 8, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department announced a plan to divert traffic and organize directions for vehicles to serve the visit of President Joe Biden to Vietnam.

Specifically, on September 10 and 11, activities took place in Hanoi to welcome international delegations to officially visit Vietnam. To ensure security, safety and smooth traffic, Hanoi Police will divide traffic and organize directions for vehicles as follows:

From 12:00 to 21:30 on September 10 and from 7:30 to 17:00 on September 11, passenger transport and freight transport vehicles (except vehicles with security badges, buses, environmental sanitation vehicles, vehicles handling and troubleshooting incidents; fixed-route passenger vehicles) are temporarily banned on a number of traffic routes according to the commands and instructions of the authorities.

Traffic police will restrict private cars and motorbikes operating on traffic routes in the following districts: Tay Ho, Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Dong Da, Cau Giay, Nam Tu Liem, Dong Anh, Soc Son, and Me Linh.

During the above time, Hanoi City Police will organize directions for temporarily banned and restricted vehicles as follows:

Vehicles traveling from the Eastern and Southeastern provinces (Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Phong, Hai Duong...) to the Southern provinces (Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh , Ha Nam) are organized to go in the direction of Thanh Tri - Phap Van bridge... and vice versa.

Vehicles from the Eastern and Southeastern provinces (Bac Ninh, Bac Giang , Hai Phong, Hai Duong...) to the Northern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen...) will be organized to go on National Highway 5 - Nguyen Van Linh - Ly Son - Dong Tru bridge - Truong Sa - Hoang Sa - Vo Van Kiet - National Highway 2 or from National Highway 5 - Thanh Tri bridge - Phu Dong bridge - National Highway 3 to go to the Northern provinces and vice versa.

Vehicles from the Southern provinces (Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam...) to the Northern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen...) follow the route Phap Van - Ngoc Hoi - Phan Trong Tue - Phung Hung - Xa La - Van Phu - Le Trong Tan - Provincial Road 70 - Nhon - National Highway 32 - Vinh Thinh Bridge (or Trung Ha Bridge) - to the Northern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen...) and vice versa.

According to the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, vehicles are restricted from going on Ring Road 3 (from the Nguyen Trai - Khuat Duy Tien intersection to Vo Van Kiet).

Hanoi Traffic Police Department requires all vehicles participating in traffic to strictly comply with road traffic laws; when encountering priority vehicles signaling priority on duty, they must promptly change direction to the nearest level crossings or intersections according to the instructions of the authorities to give way to priority vehicles.
