Hanoi temporarily closes many roads from October 15 to October 17

On the afternoon of October 14, Hanoi Police announced traffic diversion and temporary closure of some roads to serve the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.

Accordingly, the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, took place from October 15 to October 17 at the National Convention Center (No. 2 Thang Long Avenue, Tu Liem Ward).

Temporary ban and restriction period for vehicles:

- From 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on October 15.

- From 6:30 to 8:30; from 10:30 to 14:30 and from 16:00 to 18:00 on October 16 and 17.

During the above period, the police will temporarily ban trucks with a total designed weight of 1.5 tons or more, passenger cars with 16 seats or more (except buses, garbage collection vehicles, emergency response vehicles, vehicles with security badges, police and military vehicles and other priority vehicles).

At the same time, restrictions are placed on vehicles participating in traffic on the following roads: Duy Tan, Pham Van Bach, Tran Thai Tong, Duong Dinh Nghe, Pham Hung (from Me Tri to Thang Long Boulevard), Tran Duy Hung, Do Duc Duc, Mieu Dam, Thang Long Boulevard service road (from Pham Hung to Provincial Road 70 overpass).

Hanoi City Police organize directions for vehicles to go around and avoid temporarily prohibited and restricted areas as follows:

Vehicles from Thang Long bridge going towards Thang Long avenue: Pham Van Dong - Ho Tung Mau - Cau Dien - National Highway 32 - Provincial Road 70 - to Thang Long avenue and vice versa.

Vehicles from Thang Long Bridge to Thanh Tri Bridge: follow the elevated Ring Road 2 and vice versa.

Hanoi police require traffic participants to voluntarily and strictly comply with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety and follow the instructions and traffic flow of the authorities.

When encountering priority vehicles signaling to perform a task, drivers must promptly change direction to the nearest level crossing or intersection as instructed by the authorities to give way.
