Hanoi increases buses to serve passengers during the April 30 and May 1 holidays

According to Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company, the April 30 and May 1 holidays last for 5 days (from April 30 to May 4). This occasion also often coincides with the opening of the tourist season in many provinces and cities, so people's travel needs will increase sharply, with passenger traffic concentrated in some localities with tourist attractions.

It is forecasted that at Giap Bat Bus Station, the number of passengers will be highest on April 29 and 30, with about 20,000 trips/day, an increase of 350% compared to normal days. The station expects 900 trips/day. The increase in passengers will be concentrated on the routes of Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, and Thanh Hoa.

At Gia Lam Bus Station, the highest number of passengers is about 8,000 people/day, an increase of about 300% compared to normal days. The station expects 400 buses/day, mainly concentrated on routes to Hai Phong, Quang Ninh...

At My Dinh Bus Station, the number of passengers during peak days is about 22,000/day, an increase of more than 350% compared to normal days. The station expects more than 950 buses/day, increasing mainly on the routes: Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Dien Bien, Son La, Lai Chau, Quang Ninh, Cao Bang...

Based on the above forecast, Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company will increase 625 buses for the stations. Of which, Giap Bat Bus Station will increase 262 buses, Gia Lam Bus Station will increase 83 buses and My Dinh Bus Station will increase 280 buses. The number of additional buses will be allocated by day and route depending on the increase in passengers.

The company has proposed the Hanoi Department of Construction to issue about 350 badges for reinforcement vehicles; proactively develop backup plans and prepare vehicles to clear passengers...

At the same time, closely coordinate with the ward police forces to develop a plan to coordinate to ensure security and order at the station, inspect and prevent the transportation of explosives, flammable substances, prohibited goods, counterfeit goods, eradicate social evils such as gambling, touting, and soliciting passengers; prevent and promptly handle disturbances and violations of the law at the bus stations.
