Hanoi in top cities most loved by tourists

UK-based insurance company InsureandGo, via Google, has just released the results of an analysis of year-over-year changes in searches for flights, hotels and itineraries, through which the insurance company has identified not only which destinations are attracting the interest of tourists but also the destinations that tourists are ignoring, according to Time Out .

Havana has seen one of the biggest declines, with a significant 28 percent drop in year-over-year searches. While the Cuban capital boasts a classic charm fueled by a rich music culture, people seem to be turning to Bali, Indonesia instead.

This Southeast Asian destination has seen an increase in interest of around 16 percent according to research and was recently named not only as a picturesque island but also one of the best places for cultural exploration .

In the United States, people are reportedly trading the sandy beaches of Miami (down 15 percent) for the crowded streets of Chicago (up 41 percent). In Europe, people are trading Berlin for Innsbruck.

Meanwhile, Hanoi ranked 11th in the list of 15 most favorite cities. Previously, Time Out also voted the capital of Vietnam into the top 20 most attractive cultural cities in the world. "It is the most affordable city for arts and culture on the list, with 82 percent of locals rating Hanoi highly for affordability.
