According to the Department of Construction, three points where traffic accidents often occur include Thanh Tri Bridge, Ho Chi Minh Road through Hoang Van Thu Commune, Chuong My District, and Vien 105 Intersection in Son Loc Ward, Son Tay Town.
Two potential traffic accident risk points include Chiec Moi Bridge in Thuong Tin District and the gate of the Central Psychiatric Hospital.

Since the beginning of the year, the Hanoi Department of Construction has coordinated with the City Traffic Safety Committee, People's Committees of districts, towns and local police to inspect the current status of risky spots, thereby proposing and implementing solutions to ensure safety for people and vehicles.
At Thanh Tri Bridge, the Department has directed the installation of additional warning signs "Accident-prone road section" with additional signs "Go slowly, pay attention"; painted speed bumps at the entrances at both ends of the bridge and the motorbike lane; pasted reflective strips on railings and concrete pillars; installed warning and propaganda loudspeaker systems and increased lighting along the entire bridge.
On Ho Chi Minh road, the section passing through Hoang Van Thu commune has been maintained and repaired, the road surface and sidewalks have been repaired to avoid slipping; the signaling system such as signs, painted lines, and markers have been maintained; damaged guardrails have been repaired, and safety connections at the guardrail ends have been ensured.
At the intersection of Institute 105, the Department of Construction has closed the hard median strip opening at the gate of Military Hospital 105 (Km 2+450 QL21A), reorganized traffic flow to go straight and turn around at Km 2+300; at the same time, maintained and repaired the signaling system at the intersection.
