Disbanded
Almost certainly when the 2024/25 season ends, HAGL will say goodbye to a series of pillars who have been with the team for a very long time such as Minh Vuong, Chau Ngoc Quang, Quang Nho, and Bao Toan.
And according to many predictions, the "escape" from the mountain town team has not stopped at 4, because a few other faces are also in the sights of the big teams in V-League.

What’s even sadder is that this isn’t the first time HAGL fans have witnessed the departure of key players. Previously, iconic players like Cong Phuong, Xuan Truong, Tuan Anh, Van Toan… said their goodbyes one after another.
Exactly 10 years ago, Mr. Duc shocked everyone with his decision to promote the U19 team that grew up from his youth academy to play in the V-League. But now most of them have left, leaving HAGL fans with only regret and nostalgia for the players who grew up and matured from the club's academy.
Why?
Why can’t HAGL keep its key players? First of all, the main problem lies in desire. Over the past few seasons, Mr. Duc’s team has often struggled with the relegation race or settled in the middle of the rankings.
Not only that, HAGL also had matches with calculating and repaying favors, making the players discouraged. At the same time, seeing those who left all reap glory and titles, this further urged the remaining pillars to leave Pleiku to seek better things for their careers.

The second reason, and perhaps the most important: financial problems. In recent years, Mr. Duc has had a really difficult time and cannot compete with his rivals in terms of salary, bonuses, and signing bonuses, so when lacking both motivation and finances , it is understandable that players leave Pleiku Stadium.
Looking at what has been happening in the past few years and in the future, don't be surprised if HAGL continues to see "disbandment" every season. And Mr. Duc will probably only have memories of the beautiful days in the Mountain City.
