Hai Duong considers spending more than 76 billion VND to support the construction of greenhouses

According to the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, high-tech agricultural production in greenhouses is considered very effective. In recent times, the area of ​​greenhouses in the province has increased from 21.5 hectares in 2020 to 91 hectares in 2024.

Voters in the province have repeatedly requested to increase the area of ​​greenhouse support to help people reduce difficulties in the early stages of production (the average investment cost for building a greenhouse is about 300,000 VND/ ^m2 ).

Meanwhile, Resolution No. 14/2023/NQ-HDND stipulates that no more than 50,000 m2 ^{of greenhouses} will be supported annually in the whole province. Therefore, in the 2021-2023 period, only 7.08 hectares will be supported. The total area of ​​greenhouses supported in the province to date is 28.58 hectares.

Storm No. 3 caused over 60 hectares of greenhouses to be damaged or completely destroyed. However, support for greenhouses damaged by natural disasters is not yet included in the mechanism and policy to support agricultural production to restore production in areas damaged by natural disasters and epidemics.
