- Currently, the harmonious relationship between enterprises and employees is one of the key factors for the sustainable development of enterprises. To contribute to maintaining the stability of that relationship, trade unions at all levels in the province have been effectively promoting their role as a bridge accompanying enterprises to comprehensively care for union members, workers, and laborers.
The province currently has over 140 grassroots trade unions (UCs) of non-state enterprises and 3 grassroots trade unions managed by the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) with over 6,200 union members. Ms. Be Thi Hoa, Chairwoman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, said: In recent years, the Provincial Federation of Labor has directed trade unions at all levels to regularly grasp the employment situation and life of workers, thereby proactively coordinating with enterprises to organize many practical activities to protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members. In particular, the Provincial Federation of Labor has directed grassroots trade unions of enterprises to organize dialogues, negotiate, and sign collective labor agreements with many provisions to bring better benefits to workers.
Accordingly, from the beginning of the year, the Provincial Federation of Labor established a Committee to mobilize union members and establish a grassroots trade union, and at the same time held meetings to evaluate and review difficulties, thereby assigning tasks and assigning specific targets to affiliated units.
Ms. Dao Thi Phuong Lan, President of the Labor Federation of Huu Lung District, said: With the desire to take better care of workers, we have innovated methods, combining many solutions to mobilize and propagate enterprises to establish grassroots unions. Since the beginning of the year, we have established 3 grassroots unions in non-state enterprises.
According to statistics, since the beginning of the year, the province has established 5 new grassroots unions outside the state sector with over 310 union members who are workers, exceeding the set target. At the same time, trade union organizations have always promptly visited, encouraged, and presented meaningful gifts to workers. From 2024 to now, the District and City Labor Federations, industry unions, and grassroots unions have received and coordinated with professionals to visit, encourage, and present gifts to over 30,900 union members, including union members who are workers in the enterprise sector, with a budget of over 16 billion VND.
Ms. Hoang Thi Nga, a member of the Trade Union of Tam Duc LS Company Limited, Van Lang District, shared: On the occasion of the recent Workers' Month, I received attention and financial support from the trade unions at all levels to repair the "Union Shelter". I am extremely touched and grateful. This is a source of motivation for me to continue to strive and perform well my duties in the enterprise.
Not only that, the Provincial Federation of Labor also coordinates with businesses to organize periodic dialogues and labor conferences so that employees can express their thoughts, aspirations, and recommendations on working conditions and welfare policies.
Thereby, on average, each year over 90% of enterprises with trade unions organize labor conferences and sign collective labor agreements.
Mr. Ly Duc Thanh, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Provincial Business Association (HHDN) said: Implementing the content of the regulations signed with the Provincial Business Association, the Provincial Labor Federation has closely coordinated in taking care of the lives of workers in enterprises. Activities such as Tet Sum Vay, Workers' Month, Trade Union Shelter... thereby contributing to helping workers feel secure in their attachment to the enterprise. Especially in the period when enterprises face difficulties in production and business, cut orders, economic downturn due to epidemics, natural disasters, fires... the trade union organization always promptly encourages, shares and provides practical support, thereby contributing to helping enterprises build a harmonious, stable and progressive working environment.
Through practical care activities, not only do employees feel secure in their work, but they also motivate them to devote themselves to the development of the enterprise. In 2024, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 19 employees, and the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded certificates of merit to 51 employees with outstanding achievements in labor production. In the province, there were no complicated problems or mass complaints due to labor relations conflicts in enterprises.
