The Vietnamese team had its first training session in Malaysia to prepare for the important match against the Malaysian team in the next match of Group F, the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup on June 10.

Midfielder Nguyen Hai Long, who just played at Bukit Jalil Stadium in the Southeast Asian Stars match against MU, affirmed the team's high concentration for this very important match: "I am very happy to receive words of encouragement after the match with Manchester United. But about something too far away, I have not thought about it. I know where I am. My goal and the whole team's goal is the upcoming match with Malaysia. This is a key, important match. The whole team is focusing on achieving the best result in this match."

Talking about returning to Bukit Jalil Stadium, and this time the heat will be more terrible than the match against MU, because the home audience is really looking forward to a victory for Malaysia against Vietnam, Hai Long shared: "As a professional player, every stadium is the same. The most important thing is that I have to concentrate and contribute to the overall play, helping the team win."

Before the match, the coaching staff also paid special attention to the new elements in the Malaysian squad, especially the naturalized players. However, Hai Long emphasized: “We respect our opponents, but the most important thing is the preparation and desire of the Vietnamese team to extend its unbeaten streak against Malaysia. Playing away from home is always difficult, but the whole team will focus fully, determined to win 3 points.”

Observing the first training session on away ground, coach Kim Sang Sik mainly focused on tactical exercises, training cohesion and organizing gameplay.

The coaching staff also created a comfortable atmosphere to help the team relieve pressure before the crucial match, which is decisive in the race for a ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup Finals.

The Vietnamese team will have 3 more days to prepare for the match against the Malaysian team, taking place at 8:00 p.m. (Vietnam time) on June 10.
