On the afternoon of June 2, Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong, said that in the spirit of wanting to build more cultural tourism products for the Port City, promoting cultural industrial products, after half a year of preparation, it is expected that this June, Hai Phong will put into operation the night tour "Sacred Marks of Hang Kenh" with the hope that this spiritual cultural tourism product will receive the love and interest of tourists and people of the city.
Hang Kenh Temple (also known as Kenh Ha Ly, located in Hang Kenh Ward, Le Chan District, Hai Phong City) is a famous historical and cultural relic. The temple worships King Ngo Quyen, a national hero who made great contributions in driving out the Southern Han army and regaining independence for the nation after more than 1,000 years of Chinese domination.
The temple is a major historical religious center in Hai Phong. The temple organizes the traditional Hang Kenh Temple Festival on the 18th-20th of the first lunar month every year to commemorate the merits of King Ngo. The temple was recognized as a national historical and cultural relic in 1962.
"Hang Kenh Sacred Mark" is a tour to visit and experience spirituality, culture and art at the national architectural and artistic relic of Hang Kenh Communal House, where the national founder Ngo Quyen is worshiped.
In a sacred, ancient space, visitors will be immersed in spiritual activities, traditional arts, mixed with modern 3D mapping performances, promising to revive the thousand-year-old cultural soul of Hai Phong.
The tour is expected to be held every weekend. The night tour "Hang Kenh Sacred Mark" takes place from 7-9pm with many attractive activities such as tour introduction/check-in activities, watching water puppetry, singing at the communal house, watching 3D mapping show, offering incense, introducing philosophy, offering literature, performing traditional arts, experiencing cuisine , experiencing making handicrafts, asking for calligraphy, shopping for souvenirs...
According to Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, in recent times, Hai Phong has made efforts to build tourism products, especially cultural and spiritual tourism products.
It is expected that each night tour performance of "The Sacred Mark of Hang Kenh" will welcome about 200 tourists. The night tour "The Sacred Mark of Hang Kenh" will be organized as a pilot, then based on actual effectiveness, the tour will be put into commercial exploitation./.
