Hai Phong has the newest flagship hotel in the North

With a total investment of VND 2,500 billion, Pullman Hai Phong Grand Hotel (Hai Phong) is the first flagship hotel of this brand in Vietnam, contributing to positioning the tourism brand of the city of red phoenix flowers.

After 7 months of trial operation, in March 2025, Pullman Hai Phong Grand Hotel officially came into operation. This is the first flagship hotel of the Pullman brand in Vietnam, and also the flagship hotel of Hai Phong .

To be labeled as the "flagship" face of a destination, a hotel needs to fully meet the following factors: the latest and most modern facilities and infrastructure according to 5-star standards; MICE standards; and meet current and future tourism trends.

The hotel expects to be at the forefront of the increasingly popular trend of combining tourism with business trips, especially MICE guests.

Mr. Le Anh Quan, permanent vice chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, said that Hai Phong currently has 551 accommodation establishments, Pullman Hai Phong Grand Hotel is the city's 7th 5-star hotel.

"When put into operation, the hotel will contribute to upgrading the city's tourism services, attracting high-end services combined with conferences and seminars," Mr. Quan commented.

According to Mr. Bui Thanh Tu, marketing director of BestPrice, flagship hotels are not only a place to stay but also a driving force to promote sustainable tourism, enhance destinations and bring long-term benefits to both tourists and local communities.

"In Vietnam, these hotels are contributing to bringing the country's image to the world , while creating healthy competition in the tourism industry. For example, the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi Hotel has partly helped position the destination brand imbued with the culture and history of the capital," said Mr. Tu.

In Hai Phong, food tours have become a tourism brand of the city of red phoenix flowers. Street food tours combined with train travel continuously attract tourists of all ages.

Mr. Xavier Cappelut - Vice President of Operations for Vietnam, Philippines, Maldives of Accor Group (a hotel business group in 92 countries) - Hai Phong is one of the destinations that this group has chosen to expand its scale to cities with great tourism potential in Asia.

The city is attracting more and more visitors from businessmen, business travelers to tourists and vacationers.

One of the factors that helps Pullman Hai Phong Grand Hotel become a flagship hotel is the culinary experience that this hotel brings. According to Mr. Xavier, this brand wants to bring visitors a more diverse culinary experience, not only street food but also high-class cuisine.

In 2024, Hai Phong welcomed more than 9.1 million domestic and international tourists. In 2025, Hai Phong tourism aims to serve 10 million tourists.
