EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company - a business in the ecosystem of EBC Pharmaceutical Group - has become the center of attention after the police initiated a criminal case of manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods to investigate in accordance with regulations.

EBC Pharmaceutical Group - the enterprise holding nearly 99% of the capital of EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory - once promoted itself as a unit specializing in processing vegan cosmetics, meeting all strict requirements of customers.

Doan Di Bang's husband's company partner once advertised a strict process.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Nai Province Police has decided to prosecute the criminal case of manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods occurring at EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company (Giang Dien Industrial Park) for investigation and handling according to regulations.

EBC Dong Nai cooperates and produces for VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited, whose general director is Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu - Doan Di Bang's husband. The product is Hanayuki Sunscreen Body.

On the packaging, the product clearly states the sun protection index SPF50. However, the test results of the Ho Chi Minh City Drug Testing Institute on April 28 showed that the actual SPF index was only 2.4.

This is not the first time EBC Dong Nai has been involved in violations related to product quality. Previously, many other products under the Hanayuki brand such as shampoo and conditioner distributed by the company of Doan Di Bang’s husband were also found to not meet quality standards.

EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory is a business in the ecosystem of EBC Pharmaceutical Group. Currently, this group also holds 98.5% of the company's capital.

Notably, EBC Group has widely promoted itself as a "vegan cosmetics factory that meets all customer requirements" with strict production and packaging processes, ensuring strict quality control.

According to the introduction, EBC's factory has invested hundreds of billions of VND, applying modern technology with "green" and safe raw materials, to produce products that meet international standards.

The factory's address is located at Road No. 6, Giang Dien Industrial Park, Giang Dien Commune, Trang Bom District, Dong Nai Province - a place known as a cosmetic processing partner for many brands on the market, not just products related to Doan Di Bang's husband's company.

EBC Pharmaceutical Group introduced on website

On the website, EBC Group announced that it provides a full-package processing service, including: product formula research, legal document support, packaging design on request, providing more than 10,000 available packaging samples, comprehensive business strategy consulting and marketing through the group's ecosystem.

However, as of now, the EBC Medicine and Pharmacy website only displays an apology letter from Doan Di Bang's husband's company after the product recall incident. Other information about the product or the company is no longer accessible.

What is the shareholder structure of EBC Pharmaceutical Group?

According to data from the national business registration system, EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company is currently chaired by Ms. Do Thi Le Quyen (born in 1982) as the chairwoman of the Board of Directors and legal representative since April 2025. Previously, the position of legal representative was held by General Director Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong (born in 1986).

After many changes, the current charter capital of EBC Medical Factory has increased to 60 billion VND, with the capital contribution structure changing significantly: EBC Pharmaceutical Group (98.5%), Mr. Vuong Thanh Long (1%), Mr. Pham Minh Duc (0.5%).

Regarding EBC Pharmaceutical Group, the new enterprise was officially established in March 2024, with a charter capital of 15 billion VND. The main business is the operation of the office headquarters, in addition to food wholesale, cosmetics production, scientific research and technology development in the field of medical science and pharmacy...

Mr. Dinh Van Lien, Ms. Pham Thi Tham and Ms. Do Thi Le Quyen are the three founding shareholders, holding 90%, 0.5% and 9.5% of the group's capital, respectively. Ms. Do Thi Le Quyen is both the leader of EBC Group and the chairwoman of the Board of Directors of EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company.

The business registration update also shows that the position of general director of EBC Pharmaceutical Group has been changing continuously since 2024.

In which Mr. Dinh Van Lien (born in 1981) was the general director and legal representative when it was first established, then transferred to Mr. Pham Minh Duc and most recently Ms. Huynh Do Tuong Vy (born in 2003).

On its website, EBC Pharmaceutical Group said that Mr. Dinh Van Lien is the Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is introduced as having graduated from Chinese studies and pharmacy.
