In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation emphasized the special significance of this year's Workers' Month - taking place in a vibrant competitive atmosphere to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hai Phong; the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and the Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Festival 2025.

Workers' Month 2025 has the theme "Healthy Hai Phong Workers - Pioneers in the New Era", this is a strong call to all cadres, union members and workers of the city, calling on each person not only to practice physical health, but also to equip themselves with a strong spirit, courage, strong will, creativity and flexible adaptability in the context of digital transformation and increasingly deep international integration.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented gifts and subsidies to union members, workers, civil servants and laborers in difficult circumstances; and presented flowers and souvenir flags to units participating in the program.

In order to take care of the material and spiritual life of workers, the City Labor Federation has also launched a video model to guide soft skills for union members and employees and opened a free health care consulting branch via hotline 1800 888 864.

Immediately after the Opening Ceremony, a large number of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers participated in the mid-break exercise program in person and online, contributing to spreading the health training movement among the city's workforce.

Following the program is a group run with the theme “Hai Phong workers are healthy, pioneers entering the new era”, a word formation activity “I love Hai Phong”, and an award ceremony for groups with outstanding achievements in emulation movements.

Along with the above activities, at the Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace Swimming Pool, the “Green Race” men’s swimming competition took place with the enthusiastic participation of union members and employees from units and enterprises in the city. The athletes competed with all their might, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and health to work and produce and contribute to the development of the city.

Workers' Month 2025 in Hai Phong is organized with many diverse, rich and practical activities, demonstrating the concern and care of trade unions at all levels for the lives, jobs and health of workers. This is also an opportunity for all levels, sectors, units, enterprises and the whole society to honor the great contributions of workers, civil servants and laborers to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country and Hai Phong city.

Through activities in Workers' Month - Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health in 2025, the emulation movement among workers in the city continues to be promoted, arousing patriotism, national pride, the will to overcome difficulties, creativity, responsibility and aspiration to rise up of union members and workers, joining hands to build Hai Phong to develop rapidly and sustainably in the new period.
