Closing ceremony of the National Library Staff Festival to promote reading culture and introduce books in 2025

After 5 exciting days (from May 26 to 30), the National Library Staff Festival to promote reading culture and introduce books in 2025 (referred to as the Festival) - Celebrating major holidays and important historical events of the country in 2025 organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Provincial People's Committee closed on the afternoon of May 30.

With the theme “Epic of the Country”, 800 librarians from 33 delegations attending the festival introduced 37 works about the victory of the Central Highlands Campaign - opening the General Offensive and Uprising in the whole South; about the value, historical stature and contemporary significance of the Great Victory of Spring 1975, liberating the South, unifying the country; about the historical tradition, the heroic struggles of our army and people in the cause of construction, protection, innovation and development.

Commenting on the entries of the delegations at the Festival, Head of the Department of Culture and Arts, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Head of the Jury Tran Thi Phuong Lan said that in this year's Festival, the delegations have invested carefully and meticulously; combined stage and technology elements to improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda; the theme of the Festival is exploited in many new forms, creating effectiveness and leaving an impression on the audience.

In addition, the socialization of cultural activities, libraries, propaganda and book introductions has received more attention; many local libraries have attracted a number of organizations and individuals to invest in the library sector, building bookcases...

In her closing remarks at the Festival, Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library Nguyen Thi Thu Hien highly appreciated and commended the enthusiastic participation and dedication of the 33 delegations attending this year's Festival.

All delegations have shown serious interest and investment from the time of registration, program development, script development, practice organization to performing their entries on stage. Librarians participating in the Festival confidently demonstrated their abilities, bravery, and public speaking skills to share their passion for their work and profession and introduce good and valuable books to the community, building the image of librarians in the new, modern, dynamic, creative and enthusiastic era.

Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library Nguyen Thi Thu Hien delivered a speech summarizing the Festival.

At the end of the Festival, the Organizing Committee awarded 6 Excellence prizes; 8 First prizes; 9 Second prizes; 10 Third prizes and 4 Special prizes to the participating teams.

The Organizing Committee awarded the Excellence Award to units with high achievements at the Festival.

In order to enhance the effectiveness of book promotion and introduction activities, after the Festival, the Organizing Committee will post videos of the 33 participating teams on the Youtube channel "Books and Vietnamese Wisdom" for a wide audience to participate in voting.

Based on the results of public voting from the community, the Organizing Committee will announce the "Most Voted Audience Program" Award on cyberspace and mass media.
