After about 1 month of training, Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet said goodbye to 6 athletes and finalized the list of 14 athletes for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team to participate in the 2025 AVC Nations Cup.

As expected, names like Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh, Le Thanh Thuy, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Lam Oanh, Khanh Dang... are all on the official list.

Thus, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet mainly eliminated young faces such as Anh Thao, Tra My, Dang Hong... This is also understandable when the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is about to enter the tournament with the goal of winning the championship, so they need athletes with a lot of experience.

At the AVC Nations Cup 2025, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is in Group A with opponents Australia, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China) and India. Meanwhile, Group B is the presence of the women's volleyball teams of Kazakhstan, Philippines, Iran, Indonesia, Mongolia and New Zealand.

Due to the number of participating teams being 11, the organizers were forced to change the format by dividing the tournament into 2 groups. In each group, the teams will compete in a round robin to calculate points and select 4 teams to enter the quarterfinals.

The group of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is considered "easy" when the opponents are not too strong. In fact, in recent confrontations, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his students have had clear victories against the above opponents.

The most formidable opponent for coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team is Kazakhstan, currently ranked 31st in the world , one place above Vietnam in the World Volleyball Federation rankings. However, the Vietnamese girls have a huge advantage when playing on home ground.

The 2025 AVC Nations Cup women's event will take place at Dong Anh Stadium ( Hanoi ) from June 7 to June 14.
