Hai Phong: Focusing on promoting the application of information technology to implement digital transformation in trade union organizations.

In accordance with the 2024 work program, on June 25th, the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Federation of Labor (15th term) held its 5th conference, chaired by the President of the Hai Phong City Federation of Labor, Nguyen Anh Tuan.

The conference adopted reports on: the results of the workers' movement and trade union activities in the first six months of the year, supplementing tasks for the last six months of 2024; the results of the activities of the Trade Union Inspection Committees at all levels in the first six months of the year, supplementing tasks for the last six months of 2024; the settlement of trade union finances in 2023 and a preliminary review of trade union financial work in the first six months of 2024; the report summarizing the activities of the 2024 Workers' Month; the implementation of activities to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union; and the draft report summarizing the three-year implementation of Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW, dated June 12, 2021, of the Politburo on reforming the organization and activities of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation. and the Plan for organizing the award ceremony of the second Technical Innovation Competition for trade union members, workers, civil servants, and employees of Hai Phong city, 2023-2024.

Accordingly, closely following the direction of the City Party Committee, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and the program and tasks of trade union work in 2024, in the first six months of 2024, the City Confederation of Labor focused on strong innovation and creativity with many practical activities at all levels of trade unions, focusing on grassroots activities, improving the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers.

Notably, the "Delicious Rice, Sweet Soup" competition attracted widespread interest and participation from female union members and workers; in response to the 2024 Workers' Month, the Hai Phong City Federation of Labor Unions awarded 1,500 subsidies, provided financial support for the construction and repair of 25 "Union Shelter Homes"; changed the oil in vehicles for 5,000 workers, and issued 10,000 discounted swimming tickets (30% off) for union members and workers, with a total value of 4.5 billion VND...

In line with the theme of the year, "Continuing to focus on developing union membership and implementing digital transformation," in the last six months of the year, the City Federation of Labor Unions will focus on developing union membership, establishing grassroots trade unions, and paying attention to establishing a number of grassroots trade unions; promoting the application of information technology and implementing digital transformation in trade union organizations; effectively performing the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; and continuing to implement the "Trade Union Physical Training Center" project using funds invested in trade union facilities according to the Resolution of the 15th Congress of the City Federation of Labor Unions, striving to install at least 150 centers in 2024...

At the same time, implement 5 specific action programs to concretize the 4 breakthroughs in implementing the Resolution of the 15th Congress of the City Trade Union and the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023-2028.
